Ideas for an Organic Wedding

In this blog post we are going to share some ideas for a natural, organic wedding. If you are not into “themes” or very colorful palletes, this might be the way to go.

Comfy and friendly, the natural looks will make everyone feel safe and chill, and the decoration will fit in any kind of venue: at the open, at the beach, at a salon, at a garden…. Just take a look and get inspired, this might just be the design you are looking for!

Let’s start by saying that even if the location isn’t “all natural” having spaces with the natural vibe will help. It could be a little yard or garden, or big dreamy trees. The thing is to feel close to nature!

If your venue doesn’t have this kind of space, you can place a natural wall somewhere for the photoshoot or place it behind the table where the couple will enjoy dinner, but a venue with a hut, garden or trees work the best.

Another great idea is the table decoration. Look how the natural essence is expressed in this next picture. The table is dark elegant wood with colorful flowers with long leaves decorating the plates.

From this same setup:  the back of the grooms’ chairs are fresh, green and surely will make them feel they are having a natural wedding. You can read the words: ‘señora’ and ‘señor’ which stands for mistress and mister. I think it is a sweet detail.

Another thing you can do for the natural look in your wedding is to apply the ‘rules’ to yourself. You can add flowers to your loose hair, ditching the salon, or try to use natural colors in your makeup, avoiding high contrast colors and trying to look as natural as you can. I’m sure you will look gorgeous, because your smile will be the best makeup!

People always use flowers and they are organic elements, but you can go a step ahead with the decoration to offer a green, natural wedding. If you add this to your wedding at the beach in Cancun or Riviera Maya I bet your guests will be amazed by the colors, the freshness, the sea breeze, the beach sight…. Get inspired and if you decide to go for this style, please share with me. I’d love to see how it went!

Color pallete for the beach wedding

Getting married by the sea? Maybe you’d like to express the calmness and nature of the ocean with every piece of detail.

If you enjoy the feeling of being surrounded by the true colors of the beach turquoise, blue, aqua and sand are the best colors to pick for your reception (or accesories).

I’ve gathered a bunch of photos to get you inspired as you plan your wedding so forget the stress and enjoy a relaxing trip to the beach, even if you are sitting in your home desk. If you need a little extra help to let go of the wedding planning stress, please go to this article.

Your friends will look gorgeous and fresh. Makeup should be natural to match and combine. You don’t need to worry because they will not steal your thunder in your happy day; this look will make your wedding dress look dreamy and natural too!

2. Details matching the landscape

Your groom can wear little details resembling the sea or the sky, like the tie. The groomsmen pants’ match the groom’s and the sand adding up to the big picture of the beach theme.

The reception can have another cool color ideas for special items, like the cake!

3. The bride’s bouquet

Blue and aqua for the flowers in the bouquet is pure love! You can ask the florist to add a little gold, coral or sand, they look great together.

4. Drinks? Anyone?

Drinks somewhat important in your wedding. Everyone enjoy at least one glass of wine.

Step up your game adding colorful blue cocktails to the menu. They will energize the party in more than one way!

5. The importance of footwear

Shoes are part of our everyday life and you chose a nice pair of shoes for your wedding. I bet you chose the color and the shape and one of the most important aspects of it…is it comfy? (I hope they are)

But….. make your shoes the next fashon trend among your friends. Decorate the shoes with pearls, shells or beach jewerly. You can then add the couple initials in blue, aqua or turquoise. What a way to shine, girl!

I hope you enjoy this ideas and add them to your wedding plans. If you find any other color themed interesting ideas, let me know in the comments!

So you are having a wedding between two countries, have a lot of international guests, a bunch of travel stories in your family or friends or just plan on traveling a lot with your soulmate? Say no more, this idea is just the one for you!

Have your guests leave their name or a message in the places they have been, or make this globe your travel plan to visit a lot of countries with your now to be husband while you read your wedding wishes.

Instant photography station

Another great way for a guestbook that is easy and compatible with all kind of wedding themes and parties. Get an instant camera and place it in the guestbook area, ask your guests to take a picture, paste it in the book and add their message. They will have a lot of fun taking pictures and you will enjoy looking at your dream day with a new perspective!

River wish stones

What about a nature-inspired thing for your guestbook? Get river stones and invite your friends and family to write their wishes.

Once you have all the stones filled with words, you can put them inside a glass jar to decorate your livingroom. I bet you’ll love this great idea!

Wine bottles: message for today and for the future

Some people like to share suggestions of what the married couple can do in different time spans after the wedding and this is a very nice idea to have in your party.

The wine bottles are marked with the time spans, for example: today, 1 year, 5 years (but you can get creative with it, theres no wine-wishing-bottles police here) and people add their messages to each one. I personally find this one very cute!

Framed memories

Another idea that could be used as home decor is having a framed glass where all your attendees’ wishes and messages go into. Who needs some modern art picture when you have the words of your loved ones hanged in you wall?

If you decide to have a guestbook in your wedding, I hope this information is useful and inspiring. Let me know if you have another good idea or if your wedding had an original guestbook you’d like to share with us!
